Tax Accountant

I’m hiring for my client, a well-established and growing public accounting firm, seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join their collaborative and client-focused team. This is a great opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys building client relationships, managing a variety of returns, and working in an environment that values accuracy, ownership, and long-term career growth.

• Prepare a variety of tax returns including Individual, Corporate, Partnership, Estate, Gift, and Tax-Exempt returns
• Provide client accounting and bookkeeping support, including write-up services
• Assist with tax planning initiatives and special projects
• Partner directly with clients to gather information, answer questions, and deliver exceptional service
• Review financial records and maintain accurate work papers and documentation

• 4+ years of tax preparation experience across multiple return types
• Degreed
• CPA preferred
• Strong knowledge of Quick Books and General Ledger accounting
• Experience with tax preparation software (Pro Series experience is a plus)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Strong communication skills and a client-service mindset
• Self-starter who takes ownership of work and thrives in a fast-paced environment
