Job DescriptionAccounting Specialist – Patient Banking – $19/hr W2 – Phoenix (30 hrs/week, Early Schedule)
Banking-style accounting work inside Arizona's state hospital.
The Patient Finance group at the Arizona State Hospital needs an Accounting Specialist to run daily patient banking operations, and if you've worked as a teller, in cash operations, or in bookkeeping, this is your skill set with a state agency on your resume.

- 30 hours per week, 6:00 AM-3:00 PM Monday-Friday, early schedule, afternoons free

What you'll do:perform cash disbursements and check deposits
· maintain and balance cash drawers, investigating any overages or shortages
· enter and reconcile daily deposit transactions
· reconcile check registers
· approve patient withdrawal vouchers and review accounts for errors
· maintain ledger accounts with supporting documentation
· communicate with patients, staff, guardians, and family members about deposit funds
What you'll need:fiscal and financial record-keeping experience (banking, teller, cash operations, or bookkeeping background fits well)
· ledger and journal maintenance skill
· accuracy under daily balancing discipline
· clear, patient verbal and written communication
Health onboarding (required for all ASH contractors, arranged during onboarding):
MMR, Hep B, and Varicella vaccinations or titers
· TB test within the past 12 months
· N-95 mask fitting
