Senior Tax Analyst
Location:
Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid | Near Sky Harbor Airport) Salary: $85,000–$115,000 DOE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4+ years of tax and/or accounting experience OR Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years at a Big 4 public accounting firm
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. federal corporate income tax, including consolidated returns
- Hands-on experience preparing or supporting U.S. federal corporate income tax returns
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive)
- Experience using tax research tools such as BNA, RIA, CCH, or similar platforms
Our client is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to support their corporate tax function in Phoenix, AZ. This role works closely with the Tax Director and plays a key part in the preparation of U.S. federal income tax returns, tax compliance, and audit support. The position offers a hybrid work schedule and is conveniently located near Sky Harbor Airport.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare U.S. Federal Tax Returns:
Compile data and assist in preparing the company's consolidated U.S. federal corporate income tax return using Corp Tax-based applications, including returns for non-consolidated entities. - Tax Research & Technical Support:
Support the corporate tax team with tax technical research, tax technology initiatives, and process improvements. - Systems & Data Support:
Assist with the maintenance and support of tax department applications and databases. - SOX Compliance:
Implement and support department SOX controls related to the U.S. tax return preparation process. - Financial Statement Reconciliation:
Reconcile U.S. federal income tax returns to amounts reported in publicly filed financial statements. - Audit Support:
Prepare and support documentation required for IRS audits. - Additional Duties:
Contribute to special projects and other tax-related responsibilities as needed.
- Master's degree in Accounting or Tax
- CPA designation highly preferred
- Experience with SAP, One Stream, Corp Tax, Alteryx, Business Objects
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Query and Power BI
