Jackson Hewitt is looking for motivated Tax Preparers to join our Phoenix, AZ team for the upcoming tax season (January–April 2027)! Whether you're looking for full-time or part-time work, this is a fantastic opportunity to build valuable financial skills while helping everyday people navigate tax season with confidence. Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate federal and state income tax returns for individual clients
• Interview clients to gather necessary tax information, documents, and forms
• Identify eligible tax credits and deductions to maximize client refunds
• Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and Jackson Hewitt quality standards
• Maintain client confidentiality and securely handle sensitive financial data
• Deliver outstanding customer service and build lasting client relationships
• Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy goals during peak tax season

Requirements:

• Prior tax preparation experience preferred, but training will be available
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn tax preparation software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule during the January–April tax season
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must successfully complete required IRS and/or company tax training certifications
