Controller

A growing organization is seeking an experienced Controller to independently lead its day-to-day accounting function. This individual will improve the accuracy and timeliness of the monthly close, strengthen accounting processes, and allow the CFO to focus less on routine accounting matters and more on strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day accounting activities and oversee the monthly close
• Improve the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial reporting
• Address complex accounting matters with minimal oversight
• Develop scalable close procedures, controls, and documentation
• Implement automation across accounts payable, expense management, and related processes
• Create detailed reporting by location, customer, cost center, and other operational metrics
• Partner with the CFO to strengthen the organization's accounting infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting and Controller-level experience
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage an accounting function
• Experience improving close processes and implementing accounting automation
• Experience supporting a multi-location organization
• Familiarity with cloud-based ERP, planning, and business-intelligence tools
• Ability to operate effectively in a growing, fast-paced environment
