Position Summary The Driver Provider is seeking an experienced

Controller to lead our accounting department and work with the CFO and executive leadership. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can operate comfortably at both the strategic and tactical levels. The Controller will not only lead the accounting team but work hands on day-to-day in accounting operations, strengthen financial processes and controls, develop the accounting team and provide timely, accurate financial information to support business decisions.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, sound judgment and a leadership style that combines accountability with a service-oriented approach. As our organization continues to grow, the Controller will also play an important role in identifying opportunities to modernize, automate and improve our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and payroll Maintain accurate accrual-based financial records in accordance with GAAP Work with the CFO on month-end and year-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting Monitor cash flow and provide meaningful financial analysis as requested to support executive decision-making Oversee banking relationships, company credit card administration and account reconciliations Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities and creation of SOPs Ensure appropriate accounting controls, processes and procedures are established and consistently followed Manage business licenses and other financial and regulatory compliance requirements Partner with People Operations to support accurate payroll processing and resolve accounting-related payroll matters Serve as a financial resource to department leaders throughout the organization Lead, coach and develop accounting team members while establishing clear expectations and accountability Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and improve accounting and financial processes Partner closely with the CEO, fractional CFO and other members of senior leadership on financial strategy and organizational priorities Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including demonstrated accounting leadership experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting Advanced understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations and financial reporting Strong Quick Books experience;
Quick Books Desktop experience preferred Needs to have working knowledge of AP, AR and Payroll Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Google Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop accounting professionals Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills High degree of discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential financial and employee information Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Hands-on leadership style with the willingness to step into the details when needed Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $115,000 – $130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
