As an Accounting Intern
, you will help support the reliable and affordable delivery of energy by contributing to financial analysis, account reconciliation, reporting, and accounting projects. This role provides hands‑on experience in corporate accounting while helping APS make informed business decisions.

Potential Projects and Experiences

• Analyze financial and operational data to help support business decisions and organizational goals.
• Partner with accounting professionals working on financial, cost, and energy accounting activities.
• Assist with journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure financial information is accurate and reliable.
• Contribute to regulatory reporting and financial reporting efforts that support APS operations.
• Develop practical skills in data analytics and artificial intelligence while applying them to real‑world accounting challenges.
• Collaborate on cross‑functional projects and deliver a final presentation to APS leadership.

Who We’re Looking For

• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Accounting or related field.
• Demonstrates ongoing achievement and progress in academic studies and training.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to work accurately with financial information.
• Effective communicator who can collaborate with professionals across multiple teams.
• Self‑motivated learner who is eager to gain hands‑on experience and contribute to meaningful work.

This paid, temporary full‑time internship spans 10 weeks during the summer. Interns receive mentorship, professional development, opportunities for site visits, networking and more.

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Must show ongoing achievement in areas of study and training.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3.0 GPA or higher.
