Location: Phoenix, AZ (near Sky Harbor Airport) | Schedule: Full-time, hybrid | Compensation: $85K to $115K DOE
OverviewA corporate tax department at an established company is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to support its US federal income tax compliance function. This role works closely with the Tax Director to ensure accurate, timely federal tax filings and plays a key part in maintaining strong internal controls and audit readiness.
What you'll do- Compile data for and prepare the company's consolidated US federal corporate income tax return using Corp Tax based applications
- Prepare additional US federal income tax returns for entities not included in the consolidated filing
- Assist corporate tax department members with tax technical research, tax technology, and process design
- Assist with maintenance and support of tax department applications and databases
- Implement department SOX controls related to the US tax return preparation process
- Assist with reconciliation of US federal income tax returns to amounts reported on publicly filed financial statements
- Support Internal Revenue Service audit documentation requirements
- Perform other duties as required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and four (4) years of experience in Tax and/or Accounting; OR
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and two (2) years of experience as an Accountant for a Big 4 public accounting firm
- Experience with U.S. income tax rules and regulations, including emphasis in corporate consolidations
- Experience with Adobe and Microsoft Tools (SharePoint, One Drive, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams & Outlook)
- Proficient in use of BNA, RIA, CCH and other tax and accounting research tools
- Master's degree in Accounting or Tax
- CPA designation highly preferred
- Experience with SAP, One Stream, Corptax, Alteryx, Business Objects, Microsoft Power Query and Power BI applications
- Salary range of $85K to $115K DOE
- Hybrid work schedule
