Tax Manager

Location: Phoenix, AZ |
Schedule: Full-time, on-site

A growing CPA firm based in North Phoenix is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its team. This is an in-office role for a seasoned tax professional who can lead client engagements, mentor staff, and help the firm navigate an ever-changing regulatory landscape.

• Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services
• Manage tax engagements and workload efficiently
• Manage clients and their expectations
• Prepare corporate, partnership, individual, and trust and estate tax returns
• Provide leadership to Tax Accountants and Staff
• Handle IRS and state notices
• Apply working knowledge of Quick Books
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing tax regulations

• Licensed CPA
• 5+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting
• Experience preparing forms 1065, 1120, 1120S, 1041 and 1040
• Ability to think creatively and bring value and ideas to clients and the firm
• Ability to review work prepared by tax accountants
• Proficiency in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple client engagements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• 2 years of supervising and training experience preferred
• Experience with Ultra Tax preferred but not required
