About the OpportunityA well-established and stable multi-entity organization in the East Valley is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to lead a small accounting team and oversee day-to-day accounting operations. This is a hands‑on leadership role ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys mentoring staff, improving processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in a dynamic business environment.
Property management or real estate industry experience is a significant plus.
What You’ll Do- Lead, mentor, and develop a small accounting team.
- Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, cash management, and general ledger activities.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close process across multiple entities.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Prepare and review monthly financial reporting packages.
- Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Partner with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making.
- Coordinate audit support and assist with tax and compliance requirements.
- Drive process improvements and help strengthen internal controls.
- Participate in special projects and system enhancements as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience
- Experience in a multi‑entity accounting environment
- Strong knowledge of month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities
- Property management, real estate, HOA, or related industry experience strongly preferred
- CPA or CPA-track is a plus
