Job Description
Job Purpose
The Customer Service Rep (CSR)/Dispatcher for Medical Waste Services plays a vital role for the operations Team.
They are responsible for providing efficient administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our Medical / Hazardous Waste Services.
This position plays a crucial role in maintaining excellent customer relationships, supporting sales efforts, coordinating waste collection and disposal activities, managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and overseeing administrative processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Customer Service and Sales
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Serve as the main point of contact for escalated customer inquiries and coordinate with internal teams to address customer needs promptly.
- Maintain sales records, update customer accounts, and provide exceptional sales tactics.
- Prepare and assist in the completion of quotes and proposals for all new and existing customers.
- Logistics
- Manages the scheduling and tracking of waste collection and disposal activities, ensuring timely service and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate with drivers to ensure efficient scheduling and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Monitor Supplies and Inventory daily and coordinate with team members to ensure the availability for efficient waste management operations.
- Prepare and maintain manifests and profiles in preparation for waste transport and disposal, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies.
- Serve as a point of contact for drivers and other team members to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
- Training and Procedures
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new employees, particularly in customer service and administrative procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of standard operating procedures, policies, and guidelines specific to County Waste Service.
- Ensure that all team members have access to accurate and relevant documents and provide updates as necessary.
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or Higher.
- Proven experience in customer service, sales support, and administrative roles.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using office software applications (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets, databases).
- Knowledge of accounting principles and experience with accounts receivable/payable functions.
- Familiarity with waste management, logistics, or related industries is a plus.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
