Job Description:
The ASU School of Public Affairs is seeking an experienced, motivated, and personable Coordinator to support day-to-day operations. This position provides administrative services, event planning support, and oversight of the website and social media for the school. This position will also oversee the welcome desk, ensuring friendly, informative customer service to students, faculty, staff, and members of the public; monitor and respond to service requests;
and provide information about school programs and events. The Coordinator will also supervise two to four part-time student employees.
The successful candidate must be skilled in maintaining effective working relationships among a population. This position reports to the Assistant Director for Academic Services.
Position Salary Range:$50,000 to $54,000 annually; DOE Essential Duties:
Communication – 45 %
Produce and send the weekly internal newsletter email to faculty, staff, and other constituents
Send quarterly Alumni Newsletter Respond to emails, voicemails, and phone calls
Create posts on Social Media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, and Linked In)
Engage with Faculty and Local Government Interns on social media and share their content on behalf of the School of Public Affairs Work with Watts College Marketing team to maintain brand standards
Event Assistance

Assist faculty and staff when organizing an event.
Office Coordination – 45%
Ensure the office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays
Monitor and order Office Supplies as needed
Manage and provide student workers with projects and tasks for their shifts
Oversee the physical state of the office, including monitoring the floor for maintenance and coordinating any custodial concerns in common areas and kitchens
Complete ISAAC access requests
Complete annual space survey for the School of Public Affairs Create complete and accurate service now tickets for purchased items/invoices
Collect the syllabus for each class every semester
Order Business Cards from the ASU Print and Imaging Lab Order Desk Copies of textbooks for faculty from publishers

Qualifications:
Evidence of at least five (5) or more years of experience in a position with similar responsibilities
Demonstrated knowledge of standard office and administrative practices
Demonstrated knowledge of higher education policies and procedures
Experience with coordinating and organizing events
Evidence of effective communication skills
Evidence of effective problem-solving skills
Experience in using organizational skills and being detail-oriented
Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), Google Suite, Salesforce, Workday, Canva, and Adobe Working Environment:
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse (75%);
Frequent standing for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work (10%). Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds (15%).Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
