The Maricopa County Human Resources Department is seeking a motivated, innovative, and solutions-driven Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator to support the 4th-largest County in the nation.
The ADA Coordinator provides a variety of services and programs to support Maricopa County’s efforts to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other federal and state disability-related laws, regulations, and guidelines. Files all necessary reports and makes recommendations for actions, procedures, and programs to protect the rights of, and improve the quality of life for, people with disabilities and all City residents and visitors.

** We Require
*** Four years of experience in ADA compliance and advocacy or related experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Urban Planning, Disability Studies, or a related discipline
* A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
** Other Requirements
*** Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver’s license by the time of hire
* Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations pertaining to the Americans with Disabilities Act
* Advocating for clients' rights and needs with various systems and agencies
* Compiling, organizing, interpreting, and presenting data and results concisely
* Conducting compliance reviews with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies
* Build a rapport and establish a trusting relationship with clients from diverse backgrounds
* Learn and adapt to new technologies, methodologies, and tools quickly
* Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
* Plan, develop, implement, and assess strategic goals and objectives
