The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a motivated individual to perform full administrative secretarial functions of a responsible and confidential nature for the Complex Warden at the Arizona State Prison Complex - Phoenix.

Job Duties:
* Composes correspondence and replies to correspondence on routine matters
* Computer usage
* Compiles and prepares weekly and monthly reports
* Updates department policy manual
* Types meeting minutes
* Completes special projects
* Timekeeping
* Creates, organizes, and maintains confidential/administrative files
* Logs, tracks, copies and forwards responses for correspondence and documentation
* Responsible for maintaining files
* Collects and distributes all incoming and outgoing staff/department mail
* Answers, screens, and refers call appropriately
* Coordinates special events, meetings and fundraising events
* Drives on State business
* Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of:
* Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) Personnel Rules and ADCRR policies and procedures
* Written and verbal communication
* Grammatical formatting using concise, specific, and grammatically correct non-technical language
* Computer usage and various software programs (Spreadsheet software, Microsoft Office and Google Suite)
* Techniques in screening incoming calls, visitors, and telephone calls
* Working in managing a budget
Skill in:
* Problem-solving and interpersonal skills
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Tact in dealing with the public and staff both in-person and via telephone
* Handling multiple tasks
* Self-motivation and working under minimal supervision

Selective Preference(s):
* Prefer two (2) years of professional office experience and proficiency in Google Suite/Google workspace, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and drug test.
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended.
Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R).
