- Financial Aid is seeking a Financial Aid Support Coordinator. This position will support financial aid routine and special projects for students relating to financial wellness, scholarships, and specialty programs (i.e., dual degrees, accelerated MD and pathway programs). This position is also responsible for providing support services to College’s Financial Aid Office including the Director, Financial Aid Services.

Duties & Responsibilities Scholarships- Assist with all institutional and external scholarship opportunities, focusing on recruitment and specialty scholarship application cycles (i.e., Recruitment and Primary Care Physicians Scholarship). Manage the scholarship application process, including promotion, application collection, and review.
- Collaborate with scholarship committees, donors and the Development Office to ensure an accurate and efficient scholarship award process. Maintain records of scholarship recipients, match donor funds to student interests, enter awards and track disbursement.
- Submit fund transfers and monitor account balances to re‑offer funds as needed throughout the award year. Send scholarship award letters and contact students regarding requested donor stewardship opportunities.
- Identify external scholarship opportunities and counsel students regarding the scholarship application process.
- Ensure the funding of HRSA programs along with other military Health Professions Programs through applicable invoicing and payment requests.
- Support financial wellness programs and initiatives to enhance financial literacy and well‑being for medical students. Collaborate with campus resources to conduct financial wellness workshops and seminars throughout the academic year.
- Schedule and coordinate debt management and counseling sessions with personalized resources for each graduating medical student.
- Assist with the efficient processing of financial aid tasks, communication and documentation, including email and phone calls, FAFSA forms, verification materials, and supporting documents. Ensure all required documents are collected, reviewed, and filed in compliance with federal and institutional regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and databases of medical student financial aid information. Update standing operating procedures annually to document internal procedures.
- Identify opportunities to streamline document processing and communication procedures.
- Monitor student's accounts and process their paperwork in coordination with the main campus practices and policies.
- Provide resources to students each semester to ensure understanding of financial aid and scholarship application processes.
- Award financial aid for each unique program that aligns with the student's costs, duration, and eligibility.
- Ensure financial aid disbursement is processed in a timely manner that is consistent with traditional medical students.
- Assist students in understanding the financial implications of pursuing dual degrees.
- Assist in handling day‑to‑day administrative tasks, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and maintaining office records. Update and monitor content on the financial aid website.
