Maintenance Administrative Assistant

Transdev in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Maintenance Administrative Assistant. The Maintenance Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Maintenance Shop, including work orders, recordkeeping, reporting, timekeeping, attendance, and general office duties. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

• Competitive compensation package of minimum $20.25 – Maximum $25.25 / hr

• Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
• Sick days: 5 days

• General office duties such as typing, copying, faxing, filing, ordering supplies, processing work orders, maintaining work orders in a database, evaluating work productivity and flow.
• Maintaining transit vehicle maintenance, warranty and mileage files.
• Processes and repairs daily and monthly reports relating to fuel usage, mileage and other maintenance records.
• Responsible for auditing time worked for maintenance employees in MOBI timekeeping system and maintaining attendance records.

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Two (2) + years administrative experience in an automotive or maintenance work environment, in particular paperless shop
• Experience with RTA or equivalent shop maintenance software package preferred
• Experience with MOBI payroll system preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Service order writing experience preferred; some knowledge of parts and tools needed to repair diesel equipment preferred
• Able to handle sensitive and confidential files, documentation and situations
• Demonstrate ability in working with standard office machines including, but not limited to, fax, copy machine, printers and label makers
• Highly motivated, able to be a team player and work independently
• Excellent interpersonal skills, friendly, helpful, customer service attitude
• Other duties as required.

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects up to 25 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise
