Finance Assistant; Accounts Payable N Family Club

This is a remote, full-time position based in Serbia contracted via a Serbian employment contract and with IT equipment provided.

Working hours:

• 10am-6pm CET Monday to Friday and open to working second-shift hours 2pm-10pmin exchange for a competitive base salary adjustment,when the role transitions to support the company's US office

Our Finance Assistant works closely with the Management Accountant and UK Finance Assistant (based in the UK) but liaises with all the team on a regular basis, including finance assistants based in Serbia.

• Processing purchase invoices & receipts into Invoice Processing system (Spendesk) accurately and efficiently including communicating with members of the UK team to obtain any missing invoices
• Taking responsibility to ensure that all transactions are accurately and consistently coded to the correct Xero (accounting software) code
• Reviewing employee expense claims for accuracy and correct coding
• Preparation of weekly payment runs to suppliers
• Reconciling bank transactions within Xero (accounting software) accurately
• Assisting with Reconciling Customer Payments
• Assisting the Finance Team with credit control procedures
• Assisting the Finance Team and Nursery Teams with enquiries and various ad-hoc finance tasks as required
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbally, with confidence to communicate with all stakeholders across the business and build effective relationships
• Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and E-mail but also other Microsoft Office and Google Applications. You will also be proficient with other cloud-based systems
• Ability to work quickly and accurately, keeping to agreed timelines for delivery
• Fast learner with a good eye for detail

• Experience in a transactional finance with use of Cloud based accounting systems (e.g. Xero) is desirable
• Experience working remotely in an administrative role is desirable
