Tire Technicians/strongare responsible for repairs ontruck and trailer tires to ensure efficient operation and complianceby performing the following duties./p

Responsibilities:/strong/p

ul
li Inspects truck/trailer tires for excessive wear, bulges, cuts,and damaged tread./li
li Repair tires with minor malfunctions./li
li Properly secure vehicle to lift to ensure safe operation./li
li Unbolt wheels from vehicles and remove them, using lug wrenches and other hand and power tools./li
li Properly dismount and remount tires and wheels securely onthevehicle./li
li Repair or replace tires on light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks./li
li Responsible for proper installation of wheels and tires, balancing wheels,and checking for correct fit./li
li Maintains all inventories and tire equipment./li
li Reassemble tires onto wheels./li
li Prepare rims and wheel drums for reassembly by scraping, grinding, or sandblasting./li
li Disposes of damaged/old tires in accordance with state regulations./li
li Ensures tires are functioning properly and withinthe

Department of Transportation and Occupational Safety and Health Act Compliance./li
li Safely operates all tools and equipment./li
li Reports any safety issues immediately to management./li
li Keepsshoparea neat and clean./li
li Assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed./li
liMust have a current, valid drivers license for the state in which the employee performs his or her driving duties./li
liMust maintain a clean driving record, i.e., must remain insurable under our companys liability insurance policy(safety-sensitive position)./li
li Other duties may be assigned./li

Qualifications:

liMust be at least 18 years of age./li
liMust have a valid drivers license and a clean MVR record./li
liMust be a self-starter and be willing to take initiative./li
li Willing and able to work without direct supervision./li
li2+ years related experience in the commercialtireindustry./li
liMust have strong mechanical skills./li
