The National/Alamo brand of Enterprise Mobility has an exciting opportunity for an Automotive Technician. The Automotive Technician performs car service, repair, preventive maintenance, in‑flight service, and vehicle reconditioning service according to company policy and procedures. This position requires the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative and performs all responsibilities with a focus on customer needs and in accordance with our Quality Standards.

Details

Part‑time position (25 hours per week).

Starting pay for a candidate with the minimum of four current ASE A1–A8 certifications is $28.00 /hr, plus an additional $1 / hr for each remaining current A1, A2, A4–A9, L1, L3, L4 certification (maximum starting rate $35.00). This position pays an hourly rate; we are not a flat‑rate environment.

  • Shift premium:
    Saturday and Sunday shifts receive an additional $2.50 / hr.

This position is located at our Sky Harbor Airport Service Centers located at the Sky Harbor Airport Vehicle Rental Facility and our Remarketing Lot. The remarketing lot is located at 1800 W Watkins St. (4 mi from Sky Harbor) where tools will be provided.

Schedule
  • Remarketing Lot:
    • Friday – Sunday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
    • Friday – Sunday 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm
Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all repairs and preventative maintenance are completed according to manufacturer specifications and guidelines.
  • Complete required manufacturer training and perform warranty and recall repairs.
  • Complete ADA installs as required after training.
  • Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a repair order that accurately reflects steps taken and parts used during the repair.
  • Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures.
  • Utilize multiple manufacturer websites, software, and diagnostic tools.
  • May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy‑backs.
  • Maintain the work area in a safe and clean condition.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in company‑ and manufacturer‑approved training or industry‑related training.
  • Follow proper procedures to comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Perform manual labor such as bending, kneeling, crouching, lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Handle objects up to 50 lb with long periods of standing and walking.
  • Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Two years of mechanical experience in an automotive repair shop servicing current‑model vehicles.
  • Four or more current and valid ASE certifications.
  • Understanding of GM, Ford, Toyota, and Chrysler warranty procedures is a plus.
  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license with no more than two moving violations and/or at‑fault accidents within the past three years.
  • No drug or alcohol related convictions on the driving record within the past three years.
  • Basic level experience and understanding of a PC and Microsoft Office products.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without work‑visa sponsorship.
  • Must successfully complete a pre‑employment drug test and be subject to random testing.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
