Job Description
Midway Chevrolet is in search of a Certified (EXPERIENCED) Transmission Technician to join the team!
The Perks of Joining our Team- 3 years’ Plus minimum experience as an Automotive Transmission Technician
- Automotive Dealership or similar environment experience
- GM transmission certification preferred but not necessary
- Perform quality repairs and maintenance on Transmissions/Diesel Engines/Heavy Duty Trucks as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures
- Accurately complete all required paperwork (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections) promptly.
- Diagnose failure of vehicles by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
- Dedication and adherence to all Company and industry safety standards. Inspect vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating conditions.
- Create a job repair plan based on the diagnosis.
- The largest parts inventory in Phoenix with a high fill rate!
- Work with a team of experienced Service Advisors providing top support selling your work!
- Access to an experienced full-time Shop Foreman ready and willing to support you and provide live troubleshooting!
- Work for an established dealership that's been in business and involved in the community for decades!
- We have hundreds of repeat customers and long-standing fleet business.
You’ll be performing diagnosis and repairs of transmissions and everything related to them.

- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to be analytical and multi-task.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Self-motivated enthusiastic presence in a team environment
- Strong written and communication skills
- Consistent and stable work history
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Professional appearance and work ethic
