POSITION SUMMARY: With general direction from senior Procurement leadership, the Procurement Manager leads and oversees the systems, and related processes and procedures to support the Procurement function. This includes but is not limited to, supporting Procurement projects and systems and participating in the on-going transformation of source to pay best practices.
Principle Responsibilities- Works closely with the Procurement and relevant business teams to develop and implement the appropriate business processes.
- Monitors and manages to relevant metrics including spend analytics, procure-to-pay processes, operational efficiencies, supplier performance and benefits capture of major subcontractors.
- Liaisons with other functions to help develop unique processes specific to procurement and ensure it meets the overall intent to standardize processes across Republic Services.
- Becomes subject matter expert in Procurement systems and applications to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Documents the necessary standards. Works with business counterparts to create and offer any trainings to the user community.
- Leads process standardization and process efficiencies to ensure policy/requirements are met through e-Procurement tool (e.g., online categories, etc.).
- As defined by senior procurement leadership, facilitates the execution of defined procurement strategies, including driving alignment and compliance with all corporate procurement initiatives.
- Manages in the development and implementation of effective supplier performance management and collaboration initiatives to ensure continuous improvement.
- Coaches, mentors, and supports the professional development of team members. Provides leadership by positively affecting morale through individual and team recognition.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
- Minimum of 5 years of supply chain, procurement experience or related experience.
- Professional supply chain certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM, Six Sigma) desired
- Experience creating and maintaining contracts and contract data
- 2 years or more of experience leading or providing direction to others.
- Effective teaming and relationship building with other Republic Services teams such as Accounts Payable, IT and Fleet management.
- Proficiency with eProcurement systems, MS Office, including advanced MS Excel skills, Sharepoint tools, Reporting, SQL, Data Analysis
- Experience in ERP or new application implementation, providing training and support in the new system.
