POSITION SUMMARY
The Sr Manager Corporate Development manages and oversees the complex corporate development transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure development projects, and divestitures of non-strategic assets. In addition, this role collaborates directly with functional and operations leaders to lead and develop local market growth strategy.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES- Reviews business justification proposals and cash flow valuation models for acquisitions, divestitures, privatizations and internal development projects.
- Prepares and presents financial and capital investment analysis for management of corporate development transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures of non-strategic assets, and infrastructure development projects.
- Provides corporate guidance and oversight of special projects as assigned.
- Develops and manages business intelligence process; including evaluating new market opportunities and competitive landscapes, researching market demographics, identifying acquisition targets and new business opportunities.
- Develops and maintains relationships with potential sellers as part of pipeline management process.
- Builds effective working relationships across corporate functions and throughout organizational levels. Partners effectively and communicates openly to promote and support smooth functional operations and initiatives.
- Manages projects through setting expectations and priorities and interacting with decision-makers in order to ensure all agreed upon deliverables are met according to project timeline commitments.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
- Previous management experience leading a team of professional functional experts
- Minimum 6 years progressive financial experience including experience analyzing merger and acquisition opportunities.
- Investment banking and/or corporate development experience highly preferred.
- Project management background managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- This is an in-office role in Phoenix/Scottsdale (4 days in office/1 day remote).
