Account Executive – Small Group Employee Benefits
The Account Executive provides efficient, professional, and courteous service to our Small Group Employee Benefits clients. In conjunction with the team, the Account Executive plans and executes an appropriate service plan for each client.
Responsibilities- Provide Gibson client experience to existing accounts and potential clients
- Manage internal renewal processes and timelines for book of business
- Lead implementation of new lines of coverage and carrier changes
- Maintain the account in conjunction with consultant/client executive through designing, underwriting, pricing, marketing, and selecting the insurance program on existing accounts
- Communicate with carriers in a professional manner to negotiate the needs of the client
- Conduct group education and enrollment meetings at client sites or via webinar as required
- Communicate due dates, timelines, and expectations to consultant/client executive, clients, and partners
- Identify problems, summarize and develop strategic solutions with the consultant/client executive
- Assist consultant/client executives in financial analysis and forecasting of benefits and in decision making regarding the inclusion/exclusion of plan benefits, and in coordinating with the consultant/client executive in the annual RFP process
- Provide client with required compliance information
- Attend onsite and offsite client meetings as necessary
- Act as a backup to team personnel when necessary
- Maintain confidential information
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
- Love delivering a great client experience
- Have prior experience in a client service environment or formal education within the insurance, risk management or financial services industry
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Have a high attention to detail
- Possess exceptional prioritization skills with the ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Have excellent organizational and time management skills
- Have the ability to collect and organize data from various sources to support the client service team
- Have superb communication skills, both written and verbal
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and calendar management
- Enjoy prioritizing multiple projects/tasks
- Can adapt quickly to internal and external requests
- Have strong analytical and reasoning skills
- Enjoy collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources to create workflows and develop service plans for clients
- Can proactively and independently manage deadlines
- Must have 3+ years of experience in a similar role within the insurance, risk management, or financial services industry
- Life and Health license (or ability to obtain the license within 3 months of employment)
