Located at a specified Cox location (no remote). Compensation:
Hourly base $20.10–$30.10 / hour, plus potential commission and incentive payments.

Job Overview

The Sr Vehicle Operations Specialist serves as the liaison between our clients, auctions, and carriers and the teams that deliver our capabilities. The role is a client/auction/carrier‑facing portfolio manager and primary contact for operational execution. It is responsible for executing our operational strategy in the field, leveraging tools, capabilities, and relationships to scale the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as an advocate for our clients, auctions, carriers, and all beneficiaries of our product and service offering.
  • Leverage relationships across Logistics, BPOs, and CAI to exceed client expectations and deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Remediate issues and address all escalations in a timely and effective manner.
  • Work closely with carriers, drivers, BPO partners, and team members to deliver on client SLAs.
  • Leverage tools, dashboards, and reports to create an exceptions‑based approach to remediating out‑of‑compliance inventory and follow through to resolution.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly articulate client needs; collaborate effectively in a cross‑functional team setting to collectively exceed client expectations.
  • Work closely with our DHL Control Tower to ensure seamless connectivity between planners/coordinators and field‑based team in support of delivery and execution.
  • Play a key role in requirements gathering and operational capability identification in new lines of business and delivery of new products and services.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present operational metrics and reports for business reviews, operational performance reviews, and “state of the business” discussions.
  • Advocate continuous improvement and provide feedback and input into processes and systems enhancements to optimize workflows and introduce efficiency.
  • Serve as the “Go To” subject‑matter expert for your area of responsibility and book of business.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry and/or logistics field.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans, and solutions to identify issues and problems.
  • Track record of taking initiative in managing multiple priorities and working effectively under pressure when facing extremely short deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good judgment, discretion, tact, and the ability to work easily at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to partner well with colleagues in a matrixed work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and undertake responsibilities with minimal guidance.
  • Adaptable approach and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Must be adept at handling complex situations and businesses.

Occasional exposure to weather conditions and noise.
