Sr Procurement Buyer
As a Sr. Fulfilment Buyer at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement and fulfilment process for aerospace products. You will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of products to meet customer demands. Your expertise in procurement and supply chain management will contribute to the success of our aerospace operations and help us maintain a competitive edge in the market.
You will report directly to our Procurement Manager and work out of our Deer Valley AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain by ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop sourcing strategies, evaluate supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement in the procurement process.
Key Responsibilities- Source and purchase materials to meet production and customer demands
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure cost‑effective procurement
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop sourcing strategies
- Evaluate supplier performance and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize inventory management processes
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manage supplier performance.
- Conduct regular order book reviews with assigned suppliers to manage purchase order date fidelity and support the acknowledgement/commit validation process.
- Utilize the tiered escalation process to engage support for issues as they arise and could impact the performance of the site(s) being supported.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools (SAP preferred)
- Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
- Comfortable interacting directly with suppliers
- Experience in the aerospace industry
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work well in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment
- Continuous learning and adaptability
- Self‑motivated and excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
