The O Electrical Superintendent supervises electrical work on construction and repair projects, ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and in compliance with applicable codes, O quality standards, and customer specifications.
This role provides leadership for field execution, ensuring projects meet contract requirements, budget expectations, and customer satisfaction goals. The Electrical Superintendent collaborates closely with engineering, project management, purchasing, and construction teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
ROLES/TASKS OF THE POSITION Safety & Compliance- Follow and enforce all safety procedures; stop work if unsafe conditions exist
- Conduct safety orientations and ensure compliance with OSHA and O standards
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Journeymen, Apprentices, and crew members
- Manage crew assignments and workforce productivity
- Actively monitor the apprenticeship program ensuring attendance and progress with coursework
- Supervise installation, wiring, and commissioning activities
- Interpret drawings and specifications to plan work sequencing, staffing, and timelines
- Inspect work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes (NEC and local)
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients on electrical project matters
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, and subcontractors
- Lead pre‑construction and project coordination meetings
- Manage material receipt, tracking, and inventory
- Forecast material needs and coordinate procurement
- Manage project budgets to support profitability
- Maintain accurate daily reports and time records
- Complete project closeout documentation and ensure client approval
- Travel to job sites required.

- High school diploma, or equivalent
- 8+ years in electrical construction, industrial or commercial electrical work.
- Electrical Superintendent or construction management experience preferred.
- OSHA 10 AND OSHA 30 Certifications; NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety) preferred.
- Has or is in the process of obtaining Journeyman or Master Electrical license.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
- Valid Driver’s License
- TWIC card
- Knowledge of Windows‑based applications
- Knowledge and application of safety standards through OSHA training and experience
- Rigging, forklift, and man‑lift certification
- Experience managing large crews and work scopes
- Maintain active status in DISA.
- Negative 10 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Score of a 2 or less in a DISA background screen
Work is performed in outdoor and industrial environments, including exposure to weather, noise, and potentially hazardous materials. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
This position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, climbing, crawling, and lifting, as well as use of hands for handling and reaching, including overhead work.
