SummaryThe Business Analyst I Resource Management participates in a variety of data analysis and modeling functions including identification of resource needs and selections, evaluating wholesale markets, planning and assisting with system operations, assessing other business or operational plans or items utilizing advanced qualitative and quantitative techniques, and regulatory support. Develop resource plan alternatives based on market trends and conditions, wholesale market changes or other analytical findings critical to the business.
Assists or conducts a variety of basic data collection, analysis or modeling functions. Prepares routine reports of findings and recommendations to more senior analysts or appropriate Manager. Prepares reports and data requests, assists traders with production costs studies and preparation and analysis of operating data.
- BS/BA Degree in business, engineering, economics, finance, information technology, mathematics, physics or similar quantitative field
- Plus two (2) years related experience or an equivalent combination of education, and electric-utility experience.
- Basic knowledge of economic principles associated with power plant dispatch and be detail oriented.
- Strong research and effective communication skills are necessary.
- Effective word processing and spreadsheet skills are essential.
- Time constraints, scope and complexity are commensurate with the beginning level.
