Student Worker
As a student worker in the Department of Advancement, you will play a critical role in driving key initiatives forward and ensuring our team operates efficiently and effectively. This role supports donor stewardship, internal operations, and cross-departmental coordination—all in service of Grand Canyon University's mission. You'll work in a fast-paced, high-trust environment where your ability to prioritize, communicate, and execute will directly contribute to real impact.
Primary Responsibilities /Accountabilities/
Essential Functions:
- Lead and manage Advancement-related projects from planning through execution, ensuring deadlines and goals are met.
- Coordinate communication across internal teams to support donor engagement strategies and operational workflows.
- Support event logistics, stewardship campaigns, and high-priority donor interactions by managing details and tracking tasks.
- Collaborate with university departments to align on priorities, gather key information, and facilitate the timely execution of deliverables.
- Utilize project management tools (like Asana, Google Suite, etc.) to maintain project timelines, documents, and reporting.
- Anticipate operational needs and provide proactive solutions to ensure the Development team members stay focused and effective.
- Support the Division of Advancement in other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate GCU's mission and impact to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking.
Experience/
Education:
Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program.
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
