Job Overview

As an RCM Automation Strategist at Netsmart, you will shape the future of revenue cycle operations by identifying and implementing automation opportunities across a wide range of revenue cycle workflows. You will act as the strategic bridge between RCM operations, clients, and technical automation teams, building scalable frameworks, developing automation playbooks, and driving implementation from concept through deployment.

• Lead RCM Automation Strategy
  :
  Identify and prioritize high‑value automation opportunities across revenue cycle workflows, including claims management, prior authorization, eligibility verification, coding, charge capture, denials, and payment reconciliation. Develop and maintain a strategic automation roadmap aligned with business objectives and client needs.
• Build Foundations for Scalable Automation
  :
  Create and own a comprehensive library of automation playbooks; establish documentation and process standards that enable repeatable, high‑quality automation development.
• Partner Across Teams and Clients
  :
  Collaborate with RCM leaders, operational subject matter experts, automation consultants, RPA developers, and clients to design and implement automation solutions. Facilitate discovery sessions, process assessments, and workflow evaluations.
• Drive Governance and Continuous Improvement
  :
  Define automation governance standards, quality frameworks, naming conventions, and version control practices. Track solution performance, measure outcomes against operational and financial benchmarks, and continuously refine automation strategies.
• Subject Matter Expert
  :
  Provide guidance on complex workflow logic, process optimization, and automation best practices. Support automation teams with troubleshooting, process design decisions, and exception management. Stay informed on emerging automation, AI, and healthcare technology trends.

• Build relationships across RCM, automation, and leadership teams.
• Learn Netsmart’s revenue cycle workflows, technology ecosystem, and automation capabilities.
• Identify automation opportunities and establish project plans for ongoing initiatives.
• Develop a strong understanding of client workflows and strategic automation priorities.
• Create foundational frameworks and standards that will support future automation growth.

• 10+ years in healthcare revenue cycle management, healthcare technology, or a combination of both.
• 5+ years implementing, configuring, or supporting automation platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Automate, or similar.
• Deep knowledge of revenue cycle operations and process documentation.
• Strong process improvement, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience leading cross‑functional projects and managing stakeholder change.
• Proficiency with Excel, data analysis tools, and project management platforms.

• Experience establishing automation governance standards, Centers of Excellence, or enterprise automation frameworks.
• Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement certification.
• Experience with Smartsheet or similar project management applications.
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled automation solutions and emerging healthcare automation technologies.
• Knowledge of Netsmart solutions, including my Unity and other RCM‑related workflows.
• Experience in a healthcare technology, health IT, payer, provider, or managed services organization.
• Understanding of healthcare data standards such as HL7, EDI X12, or FHIR.
• Experience launching new programs, methodologies, or greenfield initiatives with successful process building.
