Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Construction Contracts & Claims Administrator to manage our construction agreements and lead our insurance claims process. In this dual function role, you will be the primary point of contact for reviewing, negotiating, and administering project contracts and contractor change/purchase orders. Additionally, you will manage the claims negotiations, coordinate with insurance carriers, outside legal counsel, and oversee the lifecycle of all claims and related litigation.

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in construction contract administration, paralegal, risk management, or claims adjustment roles is required.

Salary 75K-85K D.O.E. / In Office Position JOB DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
1. Construction Contracts Administration Review and Negotiate:
Analyze prime contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and master service agreements (MSAs) to ensure terms align with company risk tolerances and standards.

Redlining and Drafting:
Draft contract modifications, amendments, and change orders. Route documents for internal approvals and execution.

Compliance Tracking:
Ensure all contractors and vendors comply with contract terms.

Insurance Verification:
Issue Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to contractors and ensure adherence to contractual insurance requirements.

Document Control:
Maintain a centralized, organized database of all active and archived contracts, ensuring key dates and deliverables are tracked.
2. Claims & Litigation Management (Auto, Workers' Compensation and General Liability)
Incident Reporting:
Serve as the primary internal contact for reporting auto accidents involving company fleet vehicles and workplace injuries.

Claims Administration:
Open, track, and manage claims with insurance carriers and third-party administrators (TPAs) from inception to closure.

Return-to-Work Coordination:
Collaborate with HR, operations, and medical providers to facilitate effective return-to-work programs for injured employees.

Litigation Liaison:
Act as the internal point of contact for outside legal counsel on litigated claims. Gather documentation, coordinate employee depositions, and assist in discovery requests.

Reserves & Settlements:
Monitor claim reserves and participate in settlement discussions and mediation alongside legal counsel and management.
3. General Risk Management Data & Analytics:
Track claims data, identify trends (e.g., frequent injury types or auto incident hotspots), and prepare risk reports for leadership.

Safety

Collaboration:

Partner with the Safety Department to implement preventative measures based on recent claims and litigation outcomes.
4. Other Duties as Assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Sufficient formal and/or informal training to provide the ability to read and write at a level consistent with the requirements of the position;

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University is required, or a paralegal certificate.

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in construction contract administration, paralegal work, risk management, or claims adjustment roles is required;

Proficiency in Microsoft Office;

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines;

Strong communication and problem-solving skills for vendor and internal team interactions;
