Experienced Strategic Sourcing and Contracting Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies that integrate program, customer, product and in-service strategies
• Assess suppliers’ company health, performance and capability to deliver products and services
• Negotiate pricing and contract terms and conditions
• Evaluate supplier proposals for cost, lead time, quality and risk
• Prepare and execute negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements
• Conduct risk, issues and opportunities management
• Analyze external market and internal demand
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams the acquisition of assets
• Monitor and manage supplier performance by identifying root cause and recovery plans
• Manage supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, and delivery and financial performance
• Initiate supplier improvement activities and integrate results into contracting strategies
• Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity
• Contribute to the development of new job practices, techniques, and standards

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• 3+ years of experience in supplier management, supply chain, and/or procurement practices and processes
• 3+ years of experience leading negotiations with standard terms and conditions; including payment terms
• Experience as the key point of contact for managing supplier performance against contractual agreements
• Experience with using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Experience interpreting data and presenting analysis and/or recommendations to management
