Banking Transformation Lead — AI-Driven Delivery

We do Consulting Differently. Brooklyn Research Group (BRG) is launching a new Financial Services Operations & Technology practice, initially focusing on Commercial and Consumer Banking. We help financial institutions improve operations by combining deep banking experience with AI‑enabled delivery. This is an opportunity to help build a new practice within an established consulting firm.

We are hiring experienced business transformation consultants with deep Consumer Banking & Lending experience at two levels:

• Associate Director – Own client engagements from proposal through delivery, build senior client relationships, shape scope, lead delivery teams, ensure client outcomes, and grow long‑term relationships. Also responsible for business development, recruiting, developing new offerings, mentoring, and contributing to thought leadership.
• Senior Managing Consultant – Lead delivery of complex engagement work streams, guide teams, develop high‑quality deliverables and implementation roadmaps, translate findings into recommendations, and support AI‑enabled approaches. Also contributes to recruiting, new offerings, and process improvement.

• Lead banking transformation across consumer lending, retail banking, and payments.
• Assess current operations, design future‑state operating models, and develop practical implementation roadmaps.
• Lead transformation programs, governance, and PMOs from strategy through execution.
• Support technology‑enabled transformation, including vendor evaluation, implementation, and business readiness.
• Develop high‑quality client deliverables and executive presentations.
• Build trusted client relationships and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with AI specialists to incorporate AI‑enabled approaches into consulting delivery.
• Contribute to business development and continued growth of the practice.
• At the Associate Director level, additionally own proposals, scoping, pricing, and client pursuits; lead multiple concurrent engagements; and identify opportunities to expand client work.

• Prior consulting experience delivering business transformation for financial institutions.
• Associate Director candidates should have experience leading engagements and supporting business development within a consulting firm.
• Deep experience in one or more of the following areas: retail banking, consumer lending, or credit cards (servicing, collections, default).
• Experience leading large transformation programs in regulated financial institutions, including work involving regulatory change, compliance, operational improvement, or remediation.
• Ability to work effectively across business, operations, technology, legal, compliance, and risk functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed.

• Industry experience at a leading bank, lender, or financial services institution.
• Additional experience across Commercial Banking, Payments, or Wealth Management.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT (helpful but not required).
• Curiosity about AI‑enabled delivery and willingness to work alongside AI specialists.

Associate Director: $180,000 – $250,000. Senior Managing Consultant: $150,000 – $175,000.
