Estimator
NOW HIRINGAbout Sonoran Doors
Sonoran Doors has been building custom architectural doors and millwork in Phoenix for twenty-six years. We work with the region's best luxury home builders, architects, and designers — and our work shows up in some of the most distinctive homes in the Valley. Every project is custom. Every project is different. Every home is unique.
We are known in the Phoenix market for two things: exceptional quality, and reliability. That reputation was built one project at a time, one relationship at a time, over more than two decades.
About the RoleThe Lead Estimator owns Sonoran Doors' estimating function from RFP intake through proposal delivery. You ll read the plans, ask the right questions, prepare the bid, and represent Sonoran Doors' quality standard in every proposal that leaves the office.
Who We're Looking ForYou care about the work. You take pride in an accurate takeoff, a clean proposal, a well-managed bid cycle. You notice small things and get them right.
You ask good questions. You ve read enough sets of plans to know when something s missing, and you re not afraid to say so.
You own problems. When something goes wrong, your first instinct is "I ve got it" — not "someone should look at that."
You re honest, even when it s uncomfortable. You d rather flag a mistake early than hide it. You d rather ask for another day than send a rushed bid.
You work skillfully within existing systems rather than trying to reinvent them. We have twenty-six years of built-up tools and processes. Your first move is to learn them, not replace them.
You re looking for a place where your care will matter.
What You'll Need- Five to ten years of estimating experience in custom millwork, architectural doors, high-end residential construction, or a closely related premium category.
- Demonstrated ability to read architectural drawings and specifications independently.
- Experience owning bids from intake through delivery — not just supporting an estimator.
- Comfort communicating directly with builders, architects, and designers.
- A track record of accuracy under time pressure.
- Salary: $75,000 – $110,000, based on experience.
- Two weeks paid vacation, plus paid holidays and sick time.
- Standard Monday-through-Friday business hours.
- A twenty-six-year-old company with a reputation you ll be proud to represent.
- A tight-knit team where everyone knows each other and the work is genuinely custom.
