You Will
  • Support Compliance Department programs and activities
  • Create and maintain departmental reporting
  • Participate and represent the Compliance Department in work groups and committees
  • Understand external compliance factors – industry trends, regulatory requirements, best practices, and expectations of important external partners
  • Understand internal factors – existing governance, organizational structure, culture, opportunities to improve, and organizational capabilities
  • Manage elements of a Compliance program, may include contract evaluation, data privacy risk assessment, vendor management reconciliation, research, develop and track corrective action plans, create compliance policies and procedures
  • Continue implementation, evaluation, and enhancement of departmental systems
  • Assist in facilitation of department objectives, create procedures, and implement solutions to address important industry risks, including compliance with HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, PIPEDA, and other legislative requirements as applicable
  • Develop ongoing communications and lead compliance‑related trainings across the Company
  • Research, track, and monitor regulations and activities. Identify relevance, controls, and maintain recordkeeping compliant with regulations and company policies
  • Assist in facilitation of company investigations process and associated reporting
  • Ensure standard operating procedures for compliance programs are achieved across the company
  • Collaborate with partners to develop and review important metrics and evaluate program performance and effectiveness
  • Coordinate internal audits and procedure reviews on an annual basis
  • Implement continuous improvement to current processes
  • Develop and recommend improvement plans to address inconsistencies, compliance gaps, and inefficiencies
You Have
  • Above average Microsoft software applications experience (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint). Ability to create complex spreadsheets
  • 3+ years experience within corporate compliance, information privacy, or internal audit. Human resources or health care experience may also be relevant
  • College degree or equivalent work experience in related job position
  • Working knowledge of data privacy program processes, auditing protocols (SOC1, SOC2, controls and procedures) preferred but not required
  • Experience to independently research regulatory requirements and track changes in legislation as it pertains to data privacy preferred but not required
  • CIPP, CIPM, CISA, or CDPSE certificate or equivalent preferred but not required
