This position will support a diverse portfolio of commercial service offers including, but not limited to aviation, construction, engineering, food services, and security. The individual selected for this position will have high strategic impact across the enterprise. The individual will contribute to critical contractual formation, negotiation and administration, as well as assist in identifying strategies for mitigating high risk contractual or operational issues.
Successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and a desire to grow into the professional contract management career field. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized and willing to embrace new challenges.
This role may be based in Anchorage, AK or Phoenix, AZ and requires regular, in-office, presence at a NANA office in one of these locations. Hybrid schedule available!
Responsibilities- Support Operations and contracts leadership in developing contract strategy and assists in driving implementation of strategic contract opportunities having the most significant impact on the corporation, while working closely with the internal team (the Project Manager, Business Developer, Operations, Legal Department, and Senior Management, etc.)
- Supports contract negotiations and provide contractual expertise in implementation, execution and administration for various type contracts, including Fixed Price/Lump Sum, Time & Material or Cost Reimbursable.
- Draft terms and conditions for confidentiality and teaming agreements, as well as pricing proposal conditions or assumptions. Suggest recommendations that will be favorable to the organization.
- Performs reviews of proposed contracts and red-line requested changes to ensure compliance, mitigates risk and increases favorable financial outcomes, and aligns with the business strategies. The review documents should also include compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepares formal contract correspondence and ensure it conforms to the contractual terms and conditions, as well as internal management objectives of the business activities.
- Ensure compliance with contract policy and procedures, assist in ongoing reviews for introducing efficiencies and improvements. Interpret contract policies as well as operating practices and performance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field plus 6-10 years of directly related experience.
- Basic understanding of contractual terms and conditions such as indemnity, warranty, and performance acceptance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience or knowledge of systems used for data management (CLM, SharePoint, Word, Excel).
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for the past 3 years.
- Training in business processes (accounting, finance, contracts law, etc.).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to successfully work in a geographically dispersed team.
