As a trusted partner to attorneys, business professionals, and firm leadership, you will help ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and operational requirements while driving best practices in records and information management.

Working closely with the Information Governance Supervisor and cross-functional teams throughout the firm, you will support enterprise-wide initiatives that strengthen information governance, improve operational efficiency, reduce risk, and modernize the firm’s information management practices. This role offers exposure to a wide range of information governance, records management, and data lifecycle initiatives within a dynamic global law firm.

What You’ll Do
  • Support the firm’s Information Governance strategy by implementing policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Partner with attorneys and business teams to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and operational requirements.
  • Manage the lifecycle of physical and electronic records, including retention, transfers, legal holds, and disposition.
  • Lead cross-functional projects that improve information management and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze data and reporting to identify opportunities for process improvements and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate across the firm to strengthen information governance practices and support strategic initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to Information Governance Specialists and other stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts that enhance compliance, data management, and records governance.
What You’ll Bring
  • Expertise in information governance, records management, and data lifecycle practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to improve processes and mitigate risk.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience partnering across teams and departments.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of firm and client information.
  • A proactive, customer-focused mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships and drive continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in Information Governance, Records Management, Data Management, or a related role, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of information governance principles, records lifecycle management, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with records and document management systems, Microsoft 365, and enterprise collaboration tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, manage multiple priorities, and lead projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Professional certifications such as Information Governance Professional (IGP), Certified Records Manager (CRM), or other related credentials are preferred.
  • Experience with Service Now, Power Shell, Python, or workflow automation tools is a plus.
