Location:

Luke AFB, AZ - part of the FMS ICS aircraft-maintenance team supporting the 312th Aircraft Maintenance Unit's F-35 operations.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Issue and maintain tool-room equipment and test equipment for aircraft maintenance.
  • Track and execute tool calibration schedules; inspect tools for serviceability; document and replace broken items.
  • Conduct daily inventories of tool-room assets; manage ordering and receipt of parts/equipment.
  • Follow government supply-warehouse procedures; apply knowledge of Supply, Haz Mat, Training, Quality, FOD, and Security programs.
  • Monitor Hazardous Material (Haz Mat) usage, enter expenditures into the Hazardous Material Management System, store/manage Haz Mat, and coordinate with the Base Haz Mat Pharmacy for orders.
  • Provide Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to maintainers.
  • Deliver on-the-job training to employees and government personnel on tool-room and maintenance support operations.
  • Operate forklifts and delivery trucks (valid driver's license required).
  • Maintain Tool Room, Pre-Existing Bins (PEB), and Tail Number Bins (TNB).
  • Support continuity-of-operations plans when IFS or ALIS is unavailable, under direction from the Tool Room Lead or onsite maintenance manager.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift 50 lb regularly.
  • Perform repetitive motions, work overhead, grasp, reach, and twist.
  • Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.

Eligibility

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must obtain at minimum an Interim Secret Clearance (facility requires special access).

Basic Qualifications The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

  • 4 Years experience in 5 or 7-skill level US Air Force AFSC, US Navy NEC, or US Marine Corps MOS aircraft maintenance related discipline or equivalent civilian experience
  • Experience with programs such as Tool Control / Accountability, Hazardous Waste Management, Safety, Training, FOD, Security, or Supply Chain Management
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and be able to pass forklift operating requirements
  • Must be able to obtain, at minimum, an Interim Secret Clearance to start.

Desired Skills The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates:

  • Experience in Fifth Generation Aircraft Maintenance / Supply Chain Management / Tool Room
  • Working experience and/or knowledge of Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) or Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS)
  • Involvement in Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA) activities such as aircraft forms documentation and supply chain management activities
  • Ability to coordinate with Item Managers, Supply Service Providers, and Maintenance Logistics Support Manager on logistics issues as they arise
  • Knowledgeable of Supply, Haz Mat, Training, Quality, Foreign Object Debris (FOD), and Security programs
  • Familiarity with OSHA, AFOSH, NAVOSH, and state safety and health standards and regulations
  • Experience and understanding of Air Force Instruction (AFI) 21-101
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Capable of rapidly assimilating and utilizing multiple versions of asset controlling software and programs
  • Knowledge of the USAF Hazardous Material Management System
