For more information on Organo USA, please visit this role, you will provide technical oversight of the project’s ES&H compliance activities through inspection of project field execution activities. You will assist project and construction management in implementing and complying with project safety requirements and in addressing ES&H issues as they arise during project execution. You will work directly with other project-level functions (e.g., engineering, construction, subcontracts, procurement, project controls, document controls) to assist them in addressing the applicable ES&H requirements in their work activities and conduct daily site surveillance to verify adequate use of PPE, routine equipment inspections, project ES&H initiatives.
It is also expected that you will perform any administrative duties to assist in daily operations. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and systematic professional with a knack for managing business operations.
Reporting Relationships The Site Safety Assistant and Administrator will report directly to the Commissioning and Maintenance Manager Major Duties and Responsibilities Assists safety manager, project manager and others in enforcing and adhering to organizational policies for health, safety, and risk management.
Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of programs, systems, and procedures necessary for the safety and health of employees and protection of the environment and communities
Will work to develop and maintain ES&H databases, inclusive of incident events, audit/assessment findings, and corrective actions
Detects, eliminates and controls hazardous conditions on a project.
Helps identify and coordinate any unique software systems and electronic innovation used by ES&H personnel
Leads teams in conducting risk assessment, studies, mitigation planning, and monitoring in response to ES&H issues
Prepares communications, writes reports, and prepares documents for program execution and records retention
Assists with incident notifications, leads investigations, and prepares incident investigation reports
Recommends and implements improvements in processes, procedures, and work activities to minimize hazard potential
Participates in and supports employee training, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance programs
Develop and supports ES&H recognition programs
Research issues and provides regulatory interpretation and technical advice
Provides support to ES&H field and office personnel
Develop and conduct training courses related to client sites and understand client safety expectations
Tracks, documents and catalogs all safety metrics KPI's using contract management accounts including ISNetworld, KGC & ACC, and DISA.Education High school diploma or GED certificate
Associate degree or technical apprenticeship preferredOSHA 30 or higher
Skills and Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of experience related to environmental, health, or science related disciplines.
Knowledge of OSHA 1926 and 1910 required
Can perform root cause analysis as needed for incident investigations
