For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Director, Growth and Strategy to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.
This senior leader will shape division-level growth direction, translating market insight into actionable strategies that support long-term expansion and business performance.
The role will guide strategic planning, investment prioritization, and major opportunity development while partnering closely with executive leadership, engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
Success in this position will require strong market analysis, disciplined portfolio thinking, and the ability to influence decisions that align technology priorities with financial objectives.
Location:
Phoenix, AZ - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $225,000 – $325,000 annually
Responsibilities- Develop and execute division-level growth strategies for market expansion
- Lead the annual strategic planning cycle and prepare executive materials
- Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to inform strategy
- Monitor industry trends and technology developments to identify opportunities
- Collaborate with engineering teams on future technology needs
- Align strategic priorities with business plans and financial objectives
- Guide investment prioritization and support major opportunity development
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline; MBA preferred
- 15+ years of experience in strategy, business development, market analysis, or leadership roles
- 5+ years in a strategic leadership role with people management responsibilities
- Strong background in the Space, Defense, or Aerospace sectors
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment and influence decisions
- Experience with portfolio planning, market modeling, and investment prioritization
- Excellent communication skills for guiding executive discussions
