Director of Product

We’re partnering with a growing B2B SaaS company to hire a Director of Product to lead a small product team and help build the systems, operating rhythm, and product capabilities needed for the next stage of growth.

This is a high impact player-coach role. You will set the product vision and roadmap while also getting into the work: coaching Product Managers, improving discovery and post-launch adoption, partnering closely with Engineering, and creating more leverage through better processes and AI-enabled product practices.

The ideal person has worked in an enterprise SaaS environment, has seen a company scale meaningfully, and is energized by stepping into a team that needs a strong leader to create focus, momentum, and accountability.

Location:

Remote within the US.
Candidates based in Central or Eastern time preferred.

• Lead, coach, and develop a small team of Product Managers
• Set and execute a clear product vision and multi-quarter roadmap tied to company growth, customer needs, and commercial outcomes
• Build stronger product-management practices across discovery, prioritization, requirements, launches, adoption, and feedback loops
• Partner closely with Engineering to make practical roadmap tradeoffs, improve delivery predictability, and ensure the team is focused on the highest-impact work
• Personally contribute where needed, including customer discovery, PRDs, user stories, workflow mapping, and product planning
• Create accountability around post-launch adoption, customer feedback, and the business impact of product investments
  
  Develop the existing product team while helping shape how the product organization scales over time, including future hiring, team structure, and capability-building needs
• Work across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and executive leadership to resolve competing priorities and move decisions forward
• Establish an operating cadence that creates accountability, makes product decisions and tradeoffs more transparent, and helps the team deliver measurable improvements quickly
• Build a high-performing, proactive product culture that takes ownership, communicates clearly, and follows through
• Identify and implement practical ways for the product team to work more effectively through AI, automation, prototyping, data, and improved processes

• 10+ years of progressive product management experience, primarily in B2B SaaS or enterprise software
• Leadership experience, whether as a Director, Group Product Manager, Lead Product Manager, or a senior product leader who has coached and elevated other PMs
• Experience helping a B2B SaaS company scale through a meaningful growth stage, ideally from roughly $20M ARR toward $50M+ ARR
• A track record of driving meaningful transformation within a product organization, such as improving product delivery, team performance, customer discovery, product adoption, or cross-functional decision-making
• Comfortable operating as a player-coach who can lead strategically while still doing the hands on work required to move a team forward
• Strong commercial instincts and fluency in SaaS metrics including retention, adoption, ARR, churn, and customer lifetime value
• Experience working with enterprise customers and products that require strong security, reliability, and operational rigor
• Demonstrated use of AI to create leverage within product work, such as research synthesis, prototyping, spec-driven development, workflow automation, or internal product tooling
• Demonstrated ability to improve how a product organization operates, including clearer prioritization, realistic commitments, stronger discovery, and follow through on post-launch adoption
• High ownership, urgency, and sound judgment. You know how to push work forward without waiting for perfect information or excessive process.
