Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.)
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint card
• TB test, First Aid/CPR, and Food Handlers Card (some items can be obtained after hire)

Job Goal:
Responsible for providing quality childcare and instruction in a daycare setting and adhering to ADHS codes and statutes.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Provides care and instruction to promote academic and social/emotional growth
• Monitors children’s behavior and safety inside and outside of the classroom
• Assists with clean-up and other related tasks following daily activities
• Prepares classroom for activities, including creating lessons and preparing materials
• Creates bulletin boards, maintains materials and supplies, contacts parents, and may make copies
• May attend in-service training sessions
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, county, and city statutes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Knowledge of applicable Cartwright School District and departmental policies and procedures
• Early Childhood Development
• Monitoring and assisting children with activities
• Communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, and the public, sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction

Calendar: 10 month non-benefitted
Position Hours: 7 hours per day
