Job title:
Early Childhood Home Visitor
The Early Childhood Home Visitor support families in the Early Head Start Home‑Based Program by providing developmental and social services to pregnant women and children from birth to age three. This role manages a caseload of 12 families, delivers weekly 90‑minute home visits using approved curricula, and leads monthly socialization playgroups. Early Childhood Home Visitors also provide case management for high‑risk families, including goal setting, resource referrals, and tracking health and developmental outcomes in Construct.
The position facilitates monthly parent trainings to promote family engagement and child development.
In this role you will:
* Conduct weekly, 90‑minute home visits using approved Early Head Start curricula to promote positive parent-child interactions, developmental learning, and family engagement.
* Create and maintain respectful partnerships with families.
* Drive to family's home and deliver health, educational, nutritional, and child growth and development information to parents via weekly meetings.
* Coordinate with parents to ensure that prenatal, well-child exams, immunizations, health screenings, and nutrition assessments are completed and necessarily follow up occurs.
* Complete family partnership agreements, developmental screenings, and all other required assessments with families in a timely manner.
* Assist and support families in locating resources and scheduling appointments with community resources that best meets their needs.
* Provide support to parents and children in activities that promote development and meet the evolving needs of infants and toddlers.
What it takes:
* Associate's degree in Family Development, Social Services, Human Services, Early Childhood Education, Interdisciplinary Studies - Emphasis in Early Childhood Development, Family Development, Psychology or Social Work.
* Demonstrate competency to plan and implement home-based learning experiences that ensure effective implementation of the home visiting curriculum.
* One year of direct experience working with infants, toddlers, pregnant women, and their families.
* Experience with disabled children and dual language learners.
* Ability to build respectful, culturally responsive, and trusting relationships with families.
* Bilingual proficient in English and Spanish required.
* Possess an insured & reliable vehicle and a valid AZ driver's license.
* Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card - OR - must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
* DES Criminal Affidavit Required
* AZ DHS Criminal History Affidavit Required
* FPC DPS Verification Required
* CPR/1st Aid certification within the first 90 days of hire.
