Estimator
Are you a Chief Estimator with 10+ years of federal construction estimating experience under USACE and NAVFAC contracts?
We are representing an established federal general contractor delivering mission-critical construction projects on U.S. military bases. This organization operates as an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) — meaning employees are owners and directly participate in the company’s long‑term growth and profitability.
This is an office‑based leadership role responsible for driving preconstruction strategy and federal bid performance. No ongoing travel requirement.
What You’ll Lead- Lead pricing strategy for USACE and NAVFAC solicitations
- Develop detailed cost estimates for design‑bid‑build and design‑build projects
- Review drawings, specifications, RFPs, and federal contract requirements
- Build subcontractor and supplier pricing across multiple trades
- Conduct risk analysis and value engineering during preconstruction
- Lead proposal development and executive bid reviews
- Support project turnover to operations teams post‑award
- 10+ years of federal construction estimating experience
- Direct experience with USACE and NAVFAC solicitations
- Experience pricing work on active U.S. military installations
- Strong understanding of FAR and federal procurement processes
- Proven experience leading bids exceeding $20M+
- Proficiency in estimating software (Sage, Timberline, On‑Screen Takeoff, Procore, or similar)
This is not a typical general contractor opportunity.
As an ESOP company
, employees build equity ownership over time. Company performance directly impacts long‑term financial growth and retirement value. This structure creates:
- Shared accountability across operations and preconstruction
- Long‑term strategic focus instead of short‑term decision making
- Direct participation in company success
- Strong alignment between leadership and field teams
You are not just leading estimates — you are contributing to enterprise value as an owner.
