The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable working directly in the field to support daily safety operations.
Title: Bilingual Safety Specialist
Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85083
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily construction site safety inspections and hazard identification walkthroughs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety procedures, and project safety requirements.
- Lead daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings with field staff and subcontractors.
- Track and verify daily workforce attendance and site personnel counts.
- Coordinate and deliver safety training and health & safety education sessions for employees.
- Support contractor safety management, ensuring subcontractors follow site safety requirements.
- Prepare and submit required safety forms, permit applications, and compliance documentation.
- Maintain organized EHS documentation, reports, and safety records.
- Identify non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions and improvement plans.
- Assist with incident reporting, root cause investigations, and follow-up actions.
- Support additional safety initiatives and tasks assigned by management.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in EHS, construction safety, or industrial safety roles.
- Experience conducting site inspections, hazard identification, and safety documentation.
- Experience supporting contractor or subcontractor safety management preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin required to support multilingual teams.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and job-site compliance practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work in field environments.
- Ability to manage documentation, training coordination, and safety reporting in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong communicator capable of coordinating with multilingual teams and contractors.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and compliance mindset.
- Able to proactively identify risks and drive safety improvements.
