Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for an Estimator role in Phoenix, AZ. Key Responsibilities- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates based on project specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.
- Review blueprints, technical documents, and project plans to determine labor, material, and equipment costs.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to develop competitive and realistic project bids.
- Analyze project scope and identify potential risks, cost‑saving opportunities, and pricing strategies.
- Communicate directly with customers, vendors, and subcontractors to gather pricing and clarify project details.
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, and project documentation for future reference and reporting.
- Assist with proposal development, contract reviews, and project handoff to operations teams upon award.
- Monitor market trends, supplier pricing, and material costs to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process efficiencies and improving estimating procedures.
- Ensure all estimates align with company standards, profitability goals, and customer expectations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience as an Estimator in manufacturing, construction, industrial, or related industries preferred.
- Strong understanding of project costing, bid preparation, and estimating software/tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP or estimating software is a plus.
- Competitive salary based on experience. $70,000-$110,000 DOE.
