A reputable commercial contractor is seeking an Estimator to join its growing preconstruction team. This individual will play a key role in evaluating project opportunities, developing accurate cost estimates, and supporting successful project execution from preconstruction through project award.
Responsibilities
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop comprehensive project estimates
- Analyze construction plans, specifications, and contract documents to identify project requirements
- Obtain and evaluate pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
- Prepare bid packages and assist with scope review to ensure complete project coverage
- Collaborate with operations and project teams during preconstruction and bidding activities
- Maintain estimating records, bid documentation, and cost databases
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of estimating experience within the commercial construction industry
- Experience preparing estimates for ground-up and/or tenant improvement projects
- Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
