We are seeking a Plumbing Estimator to join our growing team and support our continued success in the commercial and industrial construction market.
Position OverviewThe Plumbing Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for plumbing systems on a variety of commercial construction projects. This role works closely with preconstruction, project management, and operations teams to ensure successful project pursuit and execution.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed estimates for commercial plumbing systems
, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs - Perform complete plan and specification reviews, takeoffs, and scope analysis
- Develop conceptual and budget estimates during early project phases
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Identify risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams during preconstruction and project handoff
- Participate in bid reviews and strategy discussions
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and general contractors
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in plumbing estimating (commercial/industrial preferred)
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and installation methods
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, Trimble, FastPIPE
, or similar - Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred:
- Experience with Design/Build or negotiated projects
- Familiarity with the Arizona construction market
