Fire Alarm Estimator

Phoenix, AZ

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000

Bright Minds is seeking a Fire Alarm Estimator to support a growing life safety and systems integration organization in the Phoenix area. This role is focused on developing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial fire alarm projects while partnering closely with sales, project management, and operations teams throughout the preconstruction process.

As a Fire Alarm Estimator, you will be responsible for reviewing project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop labor, material, and equipment estimates for fire alarm installations. You will support proposal development, coordinate pricing with vendors and subcontractors, and help identify project requirements to ensure bids are both competitive and profitable. This role plays a critical part in supporting project pursuits and positioning the organization for successful project execution.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders across sales, operations, and project management, making strong communication skills and attention to detail essential. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interpreting technical documents, evaluating project scope, and managing multiple bid opportunities simultaneously.

Requirements for the Fire Alarm Estimator:

  • Experience estimating fire alarm, life safety, low voltage, or related systems projects
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Experience developing labor, material, and equipment cost estimates
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, and internal project teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with fire alarm systems, industry standards, and common manufacturers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with estimating software and takeoff tools
  • Prior field experience installing, servicing, or supporting fire alarm systems
  • NICET certification or similar industry certifications are a plus
