Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000 + (based on experience)
About the RoleTiello is partnering with a well-established and growing commercial roofing contractor in Phoenix, AZ to identify a Commercial Roofing Safety Coordinator to own and lead all safety operations across multiple active job sites. This company operates across commercial roofing and new construction markets throughout Arizona and is continuing to expand — making safety leadership a critical priority as they scale operations.
Position OverviewAs Commercial Roofing Safety Coordinator, you will be the company’s primary safety leader, responsible for OSHA compliance, safety training development, jobsite audits, and incident prevention across multiple concurrent projects. This is a hands‑on role for someone who can work directly alongside field leadership and crews while helping build and reinforce a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Own and enforce OSHA compliance across all active commercial roofing job sites
- Develop, implement, and manage company-wide safety training programs
- Conduct regular jobsite audits, inspections, and risk assessments
- Lead incident prevention initiatives and manage incident investigations and reporting
- Collaborate directly with field leadership, foremen, and project managers to reinforce safety culture
- Oversee safety compliance across multiple concurrent projects and locations
- Maintain and update safety policies, procedures, and documentation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and safety-related inquiries
- Monitor industry regulations and ensure the company remains current with all compliance requirements
- Conduct bilingual safety meetings, toolbox talks, and trainings for English- and Spanish-speaking field teams
- 2+ years of experience in construction or commercial roofing safety management
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Proven experience developing and managing safety training programs
- Experience conducting jobsite audits and leading incident prevention programs
- Ability to oversee safety across multiple job sites simultaneously
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work directly alongside field teams
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed
