Mechanical / Pipe fitting Project Manager
The Mechanical / Pipe fitting Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical and pipe fitting projects in commercial and industrial settings. This role requires an experienced professional with a strong background in mechanical piping systems and large-scale construction projects, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage mechanical and pipe fitting projects in commercial and industrial environments
- Develop and oversee project plans, schedules, budgets, and manpower needs
- Ensure project execution aligns with contract requirements, company objectives, and client expectations
- Coordinate with clients, general contractors, architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors
- Oversee mechanical piping scopes, including installation, scheduling, procurement, and field coordination
- Supervise and support project team members while maintaining accountability and strong communication
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, productivity, quality, and compliance with safety requirements
- Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, schedules, and progress reports
- Track project costs, labor performance, material needs, and overall financial performance
- Identify and mitigate project risks, addressing issues quickly and effectively
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, codes, specifications, and regulations
- Work closely with field leadership to coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and project schedules
- Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders from project startup through closeout
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
- Extensive experience in mechanical project management, specifically involving commercial and industrial pipe fitting and mechanical piping systems
- Proven track record of successfully managing large‑scale mechanical projects from inception through completion
- Strong knowledge of mechanical piping systems, installation practices, construction sequencing, and industry standards
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, change orders, procurement, and cost controls
- Excellent leadership, organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in project management and construction software, such as MS Project, Procore, or similar platforms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively under pressure, and meet project deadlines
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety requirements and construction best practices
- PE license or PMP certification is a plus, but not required
